Currently Coveting...

...comfort shoes!

What?!?  Yup, I said it!  I want comfort shoes (mostly because I walk a lot more and I don't like blisters).  I remember a time when I thought that most comfort shoes were ugly and maybe that was true at the time, but not anymore!  About four years ago I started noticing a shift in the design of comfort shoes, they became less blah and more on trend.  Now it's easy to find comfy shoes in styles that look like those of high end designers.

Here are a few of the shoes I've been coveting:

Hard to believe these are comfort shoes, right? What are you currently coveting?

Not a very sunny Sunday

This past Sunday was gloomy and it even started to sprinkle!  I figured I'd use my time inside to break in my new shoes by wearing them around the house for a little while.

I absolutely love these shoes for a few reasons: 1) because they are color block shoes that can be worn with anything, 2) they are super high and make me about 5' 5" and 3) I got them at Target which means they were not an arm and a leg!  (I think they were only sold in stores, I could not find them listed online, but I did find some similar styles for you, listed at the end of this post).

Walking on the bricks was harder than I expect.
I'm trying to duck under the branch and keep my balance.

Posh and Pretty

Two of our best friends got married in February. It was in a beautiful church wedding and everything looked so perfect! I was so excited for our friends that even I was counting down the days until the wedding.  I wore my Viola dress that was my Christmas present from my hubby (as seen in the Ruche picture on the right sidebar).

I really didn't have any shoes that I thought would match so I went to my favorite online store, ShopRuche.com, and found these lovelies called Posh and Pretty:

What I'm coveting...

I just realized that Tom's now has ballet flats!  I loved their wedges from last spring/summer (but I didn't buy any) and now I really want these ballet flats.  Aren't they cute?

p.s. I'm working on getting a new tutorial up. I just haven't had much free time to finish the post, my son hasn't wanted to go to sleep until midnight or later this last week. Needless to say I'm not a pretty sight right now.

Hold the Press!

Since when did Crocs start making REAL shoes???  Last time I checked all they made were rubber like clogs.  I can't believe they make shoes without holes!  Check these out, they're simple and cute:

Mama's got some new shoes!!

Shhhh, don't tell the husband!  I got some new shoes!!!  I was debating for the longest time if I should splurge or not on a pair of new wedge booties and I finally decided to go for it!  I originally wanted some peep toe ones but then I remembered that fall and winter are right around the corner, so I changed my mind.  I ended up finding these lovelies at Ruche:
I loooooovve these shoes, I might get another pair in a different color.
The office lighting makes my legs look ghostly white!

Wedge Booties

So I fell in love with these peep toe wedge booties and I have been trying to a pair that won't make my scrawny legs look funny.  Here are my search results, which do you like?  (p.s. I read that the average woman owns 17 pairs of shoes....I am above average).

Shoes!!

I never thought of myself as a shoe collector, it wasn't until we recently moved that I realized how many shoes I own.  It's a frightening number and I haven't actually counted.  Maybe one day I will lay them out in my yard so that I can share my pretties.  The whole point of this post is for me to share my latest craving:

Cobalt shoes

I fell in love with the color cobalt after my husband bought me a dress in that color.  It wasn't until after Christmas that I learned he bought me the dress because my engagement ring hadn't arrived and he didn't have a present for me.  His intent was to take me out for New Year's in my new dress and propose to me then, but his plan was foiled because the ring still wasn't ready from the manufacturers.  In the end it really didn't matter because I said yes!

Now that it is my favorite color I have tons of clothing with the color and now I need some matching shoes!  I found some flats before but I didn't order then because I was trying to be a good girl and not shop....pft!  I should have just bought them because then I wouldn't be on this silly hunt looking for a pair of cobalt shoes!

In my hunt for cobalt shoes I found all of these lovely things:
