This pattern has been in my queue for more than a year! I really wanted to make the Varsity Cowl Neck Pullover for Nik last winter but I never got around to it, so I knew I had to tackle this project and get it off my list before winter.
Nik has outgrown all his UCLA gear so I thought it would be appropriate to make him something to show his Bruin support ;) Although the print is a little large for toddler clothing (and this sweater didn't come out as I had envisioned), it doesn't look too bad.
The pattern for this sweater is ridiculously simple! The pattern is easy to follow and the sweater comes together quickly. You could definitely sew up one of these the night before the big game! My only suggestion is to sew with your walking foot (I don't remember the instructions including using a walking foot). I did feel more comfortable and confident tackling this project now that I have more knowledge on sewing with knits.
